01 / The property

Local care. Wherever life takes you.

A four-unit rental property in Crown Heights needed a dependable team on the ground, while its owner spent significant time outside New York.

Silver Brick Management was brought in to handle the building’s day-to-day operations independently, while keeping the owner closely informed about what was happening at her property.

02 / The challenge

A sudden gap in management.

The previous management company was essentially a one-person operation. When it unexpectedly ceased operations, the owner was left without reliable local management and with very little time to find a replacement.

With the owner frequently away, rent collection and occasional maintenance calls alone would not meet the building’s needs. She needed a team that could monitor conditions, respond to tenants, coordinate vendors and take responsibility for the everyday details.

She needed eyes and ears in Brooklyn—and a clear picture of her property from anywhere.
03 / SBM’s solution

One team. The whole building.

Silver Brick took over daily operations, bringing tenant communication, maintenance, sanitation and property oversight together under one point of contact.

01 / RESIDENTS & ACCOUNTS

Keep daily operations moving

Tenant communication, resident requests, rent collection and account oversight.

02 / MAINTENANCE & VENDORS

Coordinate the work

Repairs, maintenance coordination, vendor scheduling and supervision.

03 / PROPERTY CARE

Stay ahead of building needs

Routine property visits, inspections, condition monitoring, trash, recycling and sanitation oversight.

04 / RESPONSE

Be there when it matters

Emergency response and local coordination when issues require attention.

Built around an owner who is away

Distance shouldn’t mean guesswork.

SBM established a reporting routine that makes building activity visible without requiring the owner to manage every detail remotely.

01
Detailed weekly summariesBuilding activity, open items, completed work and anything requiring the owner’s attention.
02
Photos from the propertyImages from visits and maintenance work provide visibility into building conditions.
03
Clear decisions. Routine work handled. The owner stays informed when a decision is needed; SBM handles routine matters independently.
04 / The result

A local team.
A more informed owner.

The owner now has a dedicated team overseeing the property while she is away. Regular reporting, photographs and updates keep her connected as SBM manages tenants, maintenance, vendors and everyday operations.

  • One point of contact responsible for keeping the building running.
  • Consistent visibility through weekly summaries and property photos.
  • Day-to-day needs handled locally, without remote coordination by the owner.
